It's the same battle from when I was a kid.
I tried to reach out to all of my friends--invited them to Vacation Bible School. A few obliged, but it wasn't anything life changing. Those that did, it was more about the social experience than anything relating to Christianity.
Whew! Back in the day, those TV evangelists made bank! Then you'd find out they were doing hookers in hotel rooms and people would forgive them because they'd cry on TV about it--because, of course, "God" forgives them. You can pretty much do anything you want and say you're sorry for it as long as you recite the rhetoric. Some things haven't changed. Just say "you're on God's side" and the sheep will follow regardless of your actions.
That "forgiveness" thing goes a loooong way in light of so-called "Christianity".
At what point does responsibility come into play in light of the rest of the world?
This is the difference between my "logic" and theirs. I challenge the ideas of those that I love and respect. I don't just swallow it. I have a filter. I have a conscience. My conscience is based on the logistics of being a good human being to both humans and animals, and any other objective that I encounter.
I'm not the most intellectual person, but I know when someone's pretty much full of shit. I can detect a liar. I have a pretty keen bullshit detector. All it takes is a few moments to correlate the thought process of what someone is telling you versus their behavior and it's really, REALLY easy to see.
"Christians" are different these days. Before my Mom died, she was falling for it, all because he mentioned "God"--never mind his behavior or his ethics, but just because of the fact that he "identified as a God-fearing person" (he calls himself God)-that was enough.
Trump knows you fakes are gullible. That's why he focuses on you. And he knows the majority of you aren't God-fearing enough to even tell the difference between false prophets and your own supposed "religion".
To the rest of you, Christians or not, I respect the old Christian beliefs although I don't believe in the source, but the idea in general only seeks the good out of humanity and even us Atheists know the difference between right and wrong.
Please don't insult your own intelligence, and the rest of ours, when you vote.
