Jetpack AI WordPress Integration

Before last night, it's been a while since I did a post from Cheydes of Black via WordPress.

Before publishing last night's post, I eyed a new addition to the post options where I could generate a header (featured image in WordPress) using AI by describing what I wanted. I had my own desired featured image in my photo library, but took a mental note.

I typically redundantly search various free stock photo sites for these for any given post, so I decided to dig more into the options and realized that they were linked to the free Jetpack WordPress plugin.

Apparently, it's a paid service but they give you 20 images as a trial.

I wasn't really impressed with the AI-generated images but the header image of this post was generated via AI.

As you swipe through each of the generated images, whether you like them or not, it adds each generated image to your WordPress media library. Not a bad thing, really. You can always delete them from your media library. I've reverted the featured image back and forth between the images saved in the media library a few times on this very post.

Is it worth the $60 first-year trial? Eh... so far, I think human creations are more artistic and have a less "comical" feel to them.

We'll see how the trial goes per future posts.
