The Evolution of Music vs Your Age

I have to admit, I get tired of the same thing over and over. Albeit music, conversations, perceptions, etc.

I always seek new stuff when it comes down to all.

When you go back in your mind, as far as you can remember, what was the first song that appealed to you?

Mine would be the Carpenters, garage sales with my mom, left in the car listening to the Carpenters on the 8-track tape. I've loved them ever since.

Next, Billy Joel. I still remember my sisters plugged in via long ass coils to their headphones hooked up to the stereo listening to "Honesty" (such a lonely word).

Next, Bryan Adams and Corey Hart. They were the theme song of my days being a 13-year-old janitor in our school because my Mom signed me up for being legal to work at the age of 13.

I then hung out at the mall with a friend of mine with two hot chicks and they thought Bon Jovi was the shit! So, I abandoned the mullet and went for the full-fledged hair deal.

After the fact, I had my first beer, "Old Milwaukee's Best", and the guy in kitchen kept playing this song.

My tastes varied from there. Mostly 80's metal. But I felt like I missed a lot within my Christian upbringing where I didn't have any clue into the past. So I went back in time and Pink Floyd really stood out to me.

David Gilmour's style basically turned me into a disciple when it came to guitar. His style has soooo much feeling!

Then, in the early 90's, Marilyn Manson showed up on the scene.

My first take of this video back in the 90's was.... W-T-F?

The Marilyn Manson phenomenon lead to Disturbed in the 2000's.

After all of that, huge noteriety from all of these popular artists, I couldn't find myself getting tired of any Dope album. I saw Dope with Zakk Wylde in Reno, NV and the show was Dope, not ZW.

So that summarizes a lot of decades & years. My logic that pertains to what I appreciated over the years.

And now all I pretty much listen to now is new country and I'm like, "who am I"? WTH?

Morgan Wallen & Post Malone below.

My question is...

Who are you?
